Charity Education LoveAliveInternational Sponsored Children
I'm writing today because it's been far too long since I've updated you on our beautiful sponsored children! I will not be sharing their names for their privacy, but I will share a picture or two and a little bit that I know about them. Our first student has a smile that hits you straight in the heart. You know that he’s got to be a bundle of fun to have in class and oh so charming. He is 7 years old and his name means “it is well”. I could learn a lesson in just his name. He’s...
Never Did a Cubicle Mean So Much
I admit it. I cried last night knowing that I’d be coming into work today for the last time to a cube with my name on it. I am being moved out of my beloved Tribune Tower. Our company has split and Publishing did not end up with the real estate. Starting next week Technology will work from our printing plant. It represents so many things I do not care for....say for instance….school. I never wanted to go back to school. I did fine and was a fairly good student, but blech…it meant the end of summer, freedom and great weather. As an adult it seems it has the same effect on me. I have to listen to all those people that say...
